What this website collects, what happens to anything you send the company, and the rights you have over it.
Who is responsible
PETLEY LIMITED, a private limited company registered in England and Wales under company number 02930703, whose registered office is 162 Osbaldeston Road, London, N16 6NJ, is the controller of personal information described in this notice.
What this website collects
Nothing. These pages are plain files. There is no analytics, no advertising, no tracking, no embedded video or map, and no request made to any other website while you read them. The only thing the site can place on your device is the preference described in the cookie notice, and only if you ask it to.
The enquiry form on the contact page is not connected to a mail handler. It checks your entries in your own browser and then tells you that nothing has been sent. It does not transmit or store what you typed.
If this site is served to you over the internet, the hosting provider may keep its own server logs, in the ordinary way that web servers do. Those logs are the provider's, and this notice does not describe them.
What happens if you write to the company
If you write by post, or by email once an address is published, the company holds what you send in order to read it, answer it, and keep a record of the correspondence. That is the only purpose.
The lawful bases relied on are the company's legitimate interests in answering enquiries about its property and keeping a record of them, and, where your enquiry becomes a tenancy or a transaction, the performance of a contract with you and the company's own legal obligations.
Who else sees it
The company does not sell personal information and does not pass it to anyone for marketing. It may be shared with the company's professional advisers where they are dealing with the matter you have written about, and with a public authority or a court where the law requires it.
How long it is kept
Correspondence is kept for as long as it is needed for the matter it concerns, and afterwards for as long as the company must keep records of that kind. Correspondence that leads nowhere is not kept indefinitely.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you may ask for a copy of the personal information the company holds about you, ask for it to be corrected or erased, ask that its use be restricted, object to its use, and, in some cases, ask for it in a portable form. You may also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office, though the company would prefer the chance to put a problem right first.
